Excellence in Maternity Services: A First for Türkiye

Clinical Excellence Standards for Maternity Services Certificate was awarded to Türkiye Hospital for the first time in Turkiye.

Türkiye Hospital accreditation journey: investing in the future with international standards

Once again, Türkiye Hospital has confirmed its commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence. The Clinical Excellence Standards for Maternity Services Certificate, presented by the prestigious US-based accreditation organisation AACI (American Accreditation Commission International), was awarded to Türkiye Hospital for the first time in Turkiye. This certificate recognises a service approach based on international best practices in obstetric services that are patient-oriented and based on scientific standards.

The certificate was presented at a special ceremony held on 24 April, the anniversary of the hospital's foundation, marking a meaningful milestone in its quality journey.

Safe and quality maternity care for patients

The certificate represents a quality culture based on multidisciplinary teamwork, focusing on maternal and infant health and clinical processes based on risk management and continuous improvement. By receiving this certificate, Türkiye Hospital has demonstrated that it has achieved international standards of clinical excellence in maternity services, reaffirming its dedication to providing the highest levels of safety and quality to mothers and babies.

Leadership and sustainability in health quality

Having previously received full-scope accreditation from AACI, Türkiye Hospital has once again demonstrated its compliance with international healthcare standards by successfully completing the interim audit process in 2024. This achievement is not merely the result of acquiring documents; it is the outcome of adopting a corporate culture that prioritises patient safety, service quality, and ethical values.

Hayati Odabaşı, General Manager of Türkiye Hospital, said: 'Receiving this prestigious certificate on the anniversary of our establishment is an indication of the importance we attach not only to the present, but also to the future. This international honour in obstetrics and gynaecology services is the outcome of our commitment to continuous development and prioritising patient satisfaction. I would like to thank our entire team and everyone who contributed to this success."

Ömer Peşinci, CEO of AACI Turkiye, said: 'The accreditation process with AACI, which has been ongoing for nearly two years, has led to a comprehensive transformation in patient safety, process standardisation, and service quality at Türkiye Hospital. The Clinical Excellence Standards Certification, launched specifically within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service, has pioneered the integration of a science-based, patient-centred, sustainable quality approach into our corporate culture. Thanks to strengthened multidisciplinary teamwork, the effective implementation of risk management, and continuous improvement processes, Türkiye Hospital has become an exemplary model for maternity services, both nationally and internationally. This achievement demonstrates that not only have high standards been met, but also that a healthcare approach that makes quality a way of life has been adopted. The Clinical Excellence Standards Certificate is a concrete and prestigious reflection of this commitment."

Two decades of effort and hard work

Employees who have contributed to the development of the institution over many years were honoured at a ceremony organised to celebrate the 34th anniversary of Türkiye Hospital. Those with 20 or more years of service were presented with a “Recognition Plaque” of their loyalty and dedication. This meaningful gesture highlights the value that Türkiye Hospital places on its employees and its strong corporate culture.
